Mitte’s Scars

For all the talk of gentrification in the city, it’s difficult to walk around even cleaned-up neighbourhoods like Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg without regularly stumbling across the scars and wounds of the past.

Dilapidated façades like this one are a pleasure to behold; a peek through the windows reveals modern, minimal interiors that symbolise just how comfortably the past can coexist with the present.
