Had one of those ‘only in Berlin’ moments while walking through Gesundbrunnen and Wedding this morning: a disused bus stop that’s been repurposed as a collective postal box and community message board service.
It belongs to the fabulous Uferhallen project, which itself is one of those classic Berlin post-industrial projects: a 3,000 square meter creative complex of dance and art studios, exhibition spaces, an intimate classical concert hall, a cafe and more – all inside the former central garage of Berlin’s public transportation authority (BVG).
The complex lies right alongside the Panke river, which also makes for a very pleasant walk in either direction from here.
