During my walk this afternoon I stumbled across a half-abandoned villa. I say half-abandoned because some of it has been rebuilt and is occupied with a restaurant and offices / agencies, while the remainder seems to have been left to pretty much rot.
Some cursory research reveals it was built in 1905 by a wealthy brewer and used as his residence until the war. Apparently there is a ballroom inside that’s still intact, though I have no idea how to get in there…yet.
(I think this place is interesting enough to warrant a full post, which I will write and link to soon).
